You will learn how to expose and develop film to get exactly the negative you want to work with in every situation. It is a pivotal skill in black & white photography and essential if you want to master the craft. Nothing in this is difficult but it involves judgment and precise processing. It is a short but thorough introduction to the Zone System.

A camera you can use in manual mode or an automatic camera on which you can choose the ISO setting and which has an auto-exposure lock.
